So this weekend consisted of a lot of Aikido. A metric crap-ton of Aikido actually. I think it was roughly 7 hours on saturday with around 40 minutes of breaks and a few times where we were allowed off the mat to get water. Sunday was a tad easier.. but was still 4 hours. I'm a little torn up. All in all, it was that bad of a practice.
A few things I didn't enjoy. I think one of my toes is broken. Broken when someone fell on it with their elbow. I also go elbowed in the throat in such a way that it hurts to move, swallow, or pretty much anything. My whole body is pretty destroyed... good times all around.
I really hope my toe isn't broken. It is my... index toe.. and it is swollen and pretty colors. But I can still move it. So, it is hard to know. I've never broken a bone before, I don't want my first one to be from something stupid like this.
We'll see how it looks in the morning.

Get it x-rayd, idiot-face.
and then what? They don't set broken toes.. or really anything. They'll tape it to the one next to it.
But it isn't immobile.. and it doesn't even hurt that much... just swollen and discolored. And this probably happened on saturday.. so I trained all day on it.
I'll see what it is like tomorrow.
Doctor. X-ray.
Blood poisoning? You don't want that.
Go to the doctor, smart-butt.
blah blah blah... I'm not going to get blood poisoning from whatever happened to my toe.
Stop trying to use scare tactics on me.
It still has mobility.. the swelling has gone down, and it doesn't hurt except on the extreme range of motion... so I'll give it another day.
And yes, I've already found a podiatrist close by just in case.
seriously, i believe only about a month ago i was saying how i didn't want to go to the doctor when my back went out, and you said something to the effect of, "only stupid people don't go to the doctor"
bad backs can lead to something serious.
They don't do anything about broken toes. They just tape them then send you a bill.
There is quite a difference between throwing out ones back so bad that you can't even go to the bathroom without the aid of a roller chair and hurting your toe such that it changes color slightly and makes Aikido practice slightly bothersome.
So there. If my toe incapacitated me in anyway, I'd be at the doctor post-haste.
what if it grows back wrong, or fuses incorrectly or something. Or that bone marrow thing from 'a separate peace' comes and kicks your ass.
moreover, all a doctor could do for me was give me pain pills, a doctor coule 1) give you pain pills, and 2) tape up your toe. therefore, you have more reason to go to a doctor.
