Some Swiss Pics

Ok, here are some pictures from my vacation, I have more, but don't want to inundate you with too many. So we've been going all over trying to find a place to ski, but apparently winter here doesn't start until December. Though with the temperature outside at a brisk -10 I would say there is enough winter for skiing.

Here is a picture of me on my way to St. Moritz. We got up at 5 am to catch the earliest train out of Geneva and then spent the next 6 hours on trains across the country. It was fun. Though I did sleep a ton on the trains. That's what you are supposed to do right?

This is a picture from a hike we took while in Arosa. Arosa is beautiful, and has snow, but everything is closed. We were lucky to find an open hotel, the first one we went to was empty, and unlocked. We wandered through it for a while before we determined that there truly wasn't anyone there. Arosa was fun, I liked it there.

Here is the view from the balcony in Arosa. That night the clouds came in and covered the mountains. When we awoke in the morning, snow was falling and the mountains were still surrounded by clouds. It was quite nice.

Ok, I'll post more as I feel like it. Hope everyone is doing well and I'll try to catch up on the normal blog stalking as I spend next week in Illinois. Stupid Illinois.

My new bike..

It isn't here yet.. but it will be soon. this is going to be my new bike. Well the frame at least. I can't wait for it to arrive and allow me to preform at all new heights. Of course if I was in shape that might help too.. but I'm not.

In other news, i'm going to Switzerland for a week on friday. So.. I'll not be posting for awhile, but I should have badass pictures for everyone to look at after thanksgiving. Oh boy. I'm very excited.

More pics

So far this is the best bike that I've seen lying around. I think with a little bit of chain lube, some new tubes this baby would be a fine riding machine. It is also good to know that if there were any good bikes here they were taken by their owners. Saved from the storm.

And this is a house that was moved about 8 feet off its foundation, lifted up and placed on top of the hood of a Trail Blazer. Holy crap. It is far cooler than the Toureg that is propped up on a chain-link fence... goes where other Volkswagons can't.
